MINISTRY NEWS
SRGM is a ministry designed to prepare Gods people to do the “work of the ministry through developing in a strong intimate relationship with God and becoming knowledgeable of His purpose for the individual and for His Body the Church. During our times of traveling and ministering, both nationally and internationally, we have been able to see and experience many things that were not of God and that literally held God’s people hostage. We believe that it is God’s Will that we all become avid students of His Word according to II Tim. 2:15 which instructs us to “study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” John 5:39 tells us to “search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.”
“The message of Jesus Christ has never changed and it never will, but the method of taking the Gospel to all nations has always changed, and it always will!”
Our mission fields are broad and varied, with work being done in Liberia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Johannesburg, South Africa, South America and nationally within the United States. Each field has its own unique circumstance and obvious need; however, because the call of this ministry is to evangelize and train nationals to evangelize their own, the work is analogous from one field to the next. It is through this ministry of training that we recognize the needs of each individual region and work with the nationals to bring about change. - Healing Waters Information Centers
- Substance Abuse Counseling
- Teen Issues e.g., sexual pressure, smoking, etc.
- Literacy Programs
- Marriage Counseling and Biblical Training
- New Church Planting
- Home for Unwed Mothers – Zimhabwe * (still in planning stages)
School of Ministry
Son Rise School of Ministry was founded in 1985, by Dr. Hamilton, and later progressed in 1998 to Son Rise School of Ministry and Missions Training.
OUR VISION
The vision of SRGSM is to be a Bible school that teaches the Word of God with simplicity and understanding so that it may be applied in the everyday life of the believer in a practical and effective manner.
OUR PURPOSE
The purpose of Son Rise School of Ministry (SRGSM):
To teach each student to recognize their calling and to equip them so they may effectively minister in the area to which they have been called.
To bring each student into a place of maturity in which they will live by precept and example in the integrity of God’s Word.
To teach basic foundational truths of God’s Word so that each student will have a biblically based foundation (Hebrews 6:1).
To teach each student how to apply biblical truths to everyday life by studying and researching God’s Word.
To assist those who are not called into the five-fold ministry to recognize his/her Motivational Gift(s) and its job description (Romans 12).
To teach each student how to use Bible helps (e.g. dictionaries, commentaries, thesauruses, topical Bibles, concordances, etc.) to aide in the study of God’s Word.
To ensure that each student will be able to present the Word of God effectively and clearly to the world and to the Body of Christ.
To provide mobilized Bible training to those in rural areas and to ensure that each is capable of reading and writing.
OUR GOAL
Our goals for SRGSM are to:
Bring about a practical and spiritual balance in the life of each student utilizing the Word of God;
Encourage a daily practice of prayer and bible study to promote Spiritual growth;
Help each student develop leadership skills; and
Overcome the challenge of reaching all people of all nations with the Gospel of the Kingdom of God.
When you are hurting you are most vulnerable. You are being oppressed, through oppression comes your methods of suppression, out of suppression comes depression, depression lures obsession which leads to possession which is a confession you’ve had in your personal – session with yourself. It is not easy to fall into sin as some think: there is a whole process of thought and physical work you have to do against the conviction of the Holy Spirit.
STILL I RISE is a healing and restoration program designed for lay persons of God who are or have experienced life’s behavioral and addictive challenges and are working to reclaim victory in their lives. The program will aid in helping to reestablish an uncompromising relationship with God, self and loved ones, restoring them to wholeness and service to God.
STILL I RISE focuses on the recovery of leaders such as Pastors, Preachers, Teachers, Apostles, Evangelists, Missionaries, Directors and Outreach workers in any capacity. We encourage churches, ministries and organizations to join with us in sending those who could use our services. We encourage partnerships so that lay persons may also receive the benefit of our services in being reconnected with a new church home or a place to be able to start over.
